Your audience isn’t analyzing your copy.
They’re skimming - trying to see if it clicks instantly.
No thinking.
No decoding.
No effort.
If they have to slow down to understand what you mean? They’re gone.
I see copy like this all the time:
❌ “Replaces constant self-monitoring with a felt sense of self-trust and authorship over your story.”
Wait... what? 🤔 Let me re-read that. Actually, no. I'm out.
Now compare that to:
✅ “Make clear decisions fast — and actually act on them.”
Boom. One read. I get it. I want it.
Here’s the rule:
If your message doesn’t land on the first skim, it doesn’t land at all.
Simple isn't dumbing down.
Simple is respecting your reader's time. ⏰
If a 13-year-old gets it instantly?
