How you train, very specifically dictates how you adapt. It's called the SAID Principle.
"Specific Adaptations to Imposed Demands"
I train like this because I want bigger muscles. I do these specifically because I want bigger quads and bigger booty cheeks.
If I wanted to be stronger, I would not do this. I would train bigger compound movements with lower reps.
If I wanted to do CrossFit, I would not do this. I would work on my cardio, and I would use explosive Olympic movements.
The point is, how you train is going to determine how you adapt and how you grow.
If you want to be an athlete, if you want to build endurance and strength. Do crossfit, train like a crossfitter.
If you want to be big and strong and move a lot of weight. Do powerlifting. Train like a powerlifter.
But if you want to have a good physique, if you want to build muscle, if your goal is primarily aesthetics, then that makes you a bodybuilder. So train like a bodybuilder. 💪
