Year 1, Phase 1, Accumulation
"To become very good, we first have to be ok with being very bad."
This phase builds the base. High reps and gradual set increases strengthen connective tissue, train technique, and raise work capacity without excessive strain, or technical and complicated advanced movements. The goal is effort, not perfection, and we practice these concepts through repetition. Joints adapt, movement sharpens, and the body learns consistency. This phase builds the capacity for the intensity that comes later.
