Weight should be part of the equation, not the answer.
If your goal is to build muscle, then your aim should not necessarily be to build strength, but to use strength as a metric to measure progress, rather than something to chase for egos sake. Getting stronger is great, but only insofar as it proves improved muscular adaptation, better control, better execution, and progressive overload over time. If we're trying to build muscle, The goal isnt just to move the most weight possible, but to create the most effective stimulus for muscle growth while maintaining proper form and long term consistency. So use weight, don't chase it.

Be specific....
How you train, very specifically dictates how you adapt. It's called the SAID Principle. "Specific Adaptations to Imposed Demands" I train like this because I want bigger muscles. I do these specifically because I want bigger quads and bigger booty cheeks. If I wanted to be stronger, I would not do this. I would train bigger compound movements with lower reps. If I wanted to do CrossFit, I would not do this. I would work on my cardio, and I would use explosive Olympic movements. The point is, how you train is going to determine how you adapt and how you grow. If you want to be an athlete, if you want to build endurance and strength. Do crossfit, train like a crossfitter. If you want to be big and strong and move a lot of weight. Do powerlifting. Train like a powerlifter. But if you want to have a good physique, if you want to build muscle, if your goal is primarily aesthetics, then that makes you a bodybuilder. So train like a bodybuilder. 💪

Your diet is just as important as your liftss
Lost almost 2 pounds last nite. Big ass salads, low calorie pastas, and tons of veggies are helping me to stay full while keeping my calories at a limit.

Repetition = efficiency
When you trying to build muscle eating has to be a priority and in order to prioritize meals it helps to be efficient. Efficiency comes with repetition so I eat a lot of the same shit, day in and day out. That sounds miserable to some people but if you're eating good food it's pretty easy to sustain. My new breakfast kick is veggies, egg whites, hash browns and toast and I could not be happier eating this every single morning!

Ain't nothin fancy about hard work
My friend told me that my videos suck. He said it's just me hitting record, doing the lift and then walking back to hit stop. Then I have all that crap at the bottom. They're boring.... Ya know what... He's right. I know these videos aren't exciting, but that's kind of the point. I'm not trying to be funny. I'm not trying to be entertaining. I'm trying to be informative. That's it. My Hope is that if you're watching these videos at some point, maybe you do pay attention to the crap on the bottom. At some point maybe you say to yourself..... Wait a minute..... That's not the same lift he was doing last week... He does look bigger... He wasn't lifting that much last month... He sure as fuk wasn't looking that much 6 months ago or a year ago.... My goal for these videos is that people can take away some sort of information that will help them in their fitness journey. Ask me why I'm doing more reps on the third set than in the first two. Ask about my hand position. Ask me why my reps seem to be different every week. Like I said, I know this videos aren't exciting, but the gym isn't necessarily going to be exciting. It's going to be work. Hard work. There's nothing flashy about going to the gym five days a week and there doesn't need to be. Get to the gym. Work hard. Eat well. Get sleep. Rinse, repeat.
