PSC Goal Check-In is happening in 3 days
Planning Now = More Joy Later | Payday Tip
Good morning, Consumer Reports once shared that people spend around 42 hours shopping and celebrating during the holiday season. When you slow down and think about it, that’s a lot of time. And it’s easy to get swept up in the “what” without ever pausing to plan the “when.” So as you head into this payday, take a moment to pull out your calendar and really look at what’s coming in the next few weeks. A little planning now can protect your peace later. Payday Tips • Gather all your invites and list them by week. • Add your regular responsibilities so nothing sneaks up on you. • Decide ahead of time which events you’ll attend—and which ones you may need to sit out. Remember, the goal is a Christmas season that’s joyful, not draining. And just a heads-up: next Wednesday, December 10th, we’ll be setting goals for 2026. Planning Now = More Joy Later | Payday Tip
Stay Steady This Black Friday | Payday Tip
Good morning, I’m not sure what your Black Friday has looked like so far—you might’ve been shopping all week, or maybe you’re just getting started. Either way, last week’s payday tip was intentional. I wanted you to think ahead so you wouldn’t get swept up in the rush. So here’s your Black Friday payday tip: - Pray for patience. - Pray to stay relaxed. - Pray to stay focused. - And stick to your budget. This season brings all kinds of distractions—sales, pressure, emotions, and that little fear of missing out. But when you slow down and pay attention, you make better decisions. Remember your goals. And remember that your emotions can nudge you into spending more than you planned if you’re not careful. We don’t have to step into the new year paying for decisions we made in December. We can go into the new year steady and prepared, one decision at a time. Have a great weekend! -Latrisa

Stop the “I’ll Start in January” Trap | Payday Tip
Good morning, Last week, we spent time practicing gratitude. And the truth is, things may not be where you hoped they would be right now — but you can still be grateful for where God has you. Gratitude helps settle your heart, but it also prepares you to make decisions that honor the season you’re in. And now it’s time to make one. I don’t want you saying, “I’ll start over in January after the holidays.” That mindset feels harmless, but it’s really a distraction — a setup that leaves you in a deeper hole when the new year begins. So this week, take a moment to reflect on a few questions: - What major expenses do I still have before the year ends? - How will I adjust to changes in my pay during the holidays? (Fewer hours? Getting paid early but with a long gap? Extra overtime?) - What’s my Christmas budget? Who am I buying gifts for? Who will receive a Christmas card? - How many holiday gatherings will I attend, and what will the costs look like? You may not be where you want to be financially, but avoiding reality will only make the road harder. Facing it with honesty and intention is an act of stewardship — and an act of trust. I walked through this in more detail during an open coaching session on YouTube. Check out the link below. It isn't too late to sign up for your free consultation. Don’t Let Extra Income Create Extra Pressure | Payday Tip
Good morning, The holidays have a way of pulling us in different directions. Maybe you’re thinking about taking on more hours, or your job is offering overtime. Extra income can feel like the answer — and sometimes it really is a help. But it can also open the door to decisions that leave you feeling more stretched than supported. Before you jump in, here are a few things to keep in mind: - Don’t depend on extra income to cover your regular bills. If you don’t truly need it, don’t build your month around it. - Give every extra dollar a plan. Percentages work well because they adjust with your income, but fixed amounts can work too if your overtime is consistent. - Be intentional with your meals. Longer hours mean less time to prep. Without a plan, convenience spending creeps in fast. - Communicate your schedule early. Let your family know when you’ll be unavailable, and protect the days that matter most at home. Some of these tips involve money, others involve time — but they all point back to the same truth: when you earn more, your whole life is affected, not just your bank account. This is where faith becomes practical. Ask God for wisdom before you take on more. Trust Him to guide you toward decisions that bring peace, not pressure. Have a great weekend! Don’t Let Extra Income Create Extra Pressure | Payday Tip
A Simple Remedy for a Tired Mind | Payday Tip
Good morning, It’s a new month, but we’re already in the 11th month of the year. Are you feeling tired? Does the word "budget" make you cringe a little? Maybe you’re frustrated about what did or didn’t happen this year. I get it. But I have a simple remedy that can help—gratitude. We often spend so much time focusing on what we don’t have that we overlook what we do have. Gratitude shifts our perspective. It helps us pause and notice the good that’s already in our lives. As you approach this pay period, take a moment to be thankful for what you have. Here are four reflection questions to guide you: 1. What situation this year turned out better than you expected? 2. What blessing surprised you the most this year? 3. Who helps keep you calm during difficult moments? 4. What is better about this pay period than the last one?
