Consumer Reports once shared that people spend around 42 hours shopping and celebrating during the holiday season. When you slow down and think about it, that’s a lot of time. And it’s easy to get swept up in the “what” without ever pausing to plan the “when.”
So as you head into this payday, take a moment to pull out your calendar and really look at what’s coming in the next few weeks. A little planning now can protect your peace later.
Payday Tips
• Gather all your invites and list them by week.
• Add your regular responsibilities so nothing sneaks up on you.
• Decide ahead of time which events you’ll attend—and which ones you may need to sit out.
Remember, the goal is a Christmas season that’s joyful, not draining.
