Take five minutes to read through this post. It answers the most common questions about membership, access, events, and community guidelines. Knowing this information will help you get the most out of Self Publishing for Leaders from day one.
π Who is this community for? Self Publishing for Leaders is exclusively for authors and aspiring authors who are writing or have written a thought leadership business book. This is not a community for service providers, vendors, or anyone looking to sell their services to our members. This is a space built entirely for authors, by authors.
π° How much does membership cost? The first 100 members join completely free β no monthly fee, no catch, full access. Members who join during this founding period will remain free forever, even after we reach 100 members. Once membership reaches 100+, new members joining thereafter will pay a monthly fee. Your free membership is yours to keep as long as you remain an active member.
πͺ What happens if I leave and want to come back? You are welcome to leave the community at any time. However, if free membership is no longer available when you return, you will not be able to rejoin for free. Your free membership is not guaranteed upon re-entry. We strongly encourage you to stay active and protect your founding member status.
π What is included in my membership? As a member, you have access to our monthly group coaching workshop and our monthly author chat β The Author's Brew β both completely free and exclusive to members. These events are not open to the public and are among the many benefits of being part of this community.
π How do I access the courses? Courses inside Self Publishing for Leaders are unlocked progressively as you level up inside the community. Each level you achieve gives you access to additional course content. The more you engage, the more you unlock. Keep showing up and keep leveling up.
β¬οΈ How do I level up inside the community? You earn points by receiving likes on your posts and comments. The more valuable and engaging your contributions are, the more likes you receive β and the faster you level up. Comment regularly on fellow members' posts, share your wins, ask great questions, and contribute generously. Engagement is a two-way street β the more you give, the more you receive.
π
How often should I be posting? Members are encouraged to post inside the community at least once per week. Whether you are sharing a win, asking a question, seeking feedback, or contributing a resource β showing up consistently is what makes this community thrive and helps you get the most value out of your membership.
π Does it matter where I post? Yes β very much so! Please make sure you are posting in the correct category. Each category is designed for a specific type of conversation, and posting in the right place ensures that the right members see your content and can respond meaningfully. If you are ever unsure where something belongs, post it in General, and we will help you find the right home for it.
π« What happens if someone pitches their services inside the community? This community has a zero-tolerance policy for solicitation. Anyone found pitching products or services to members without permission will be immediately banned from the community and reported to Skool administration. This is a space for authors to grow β not a marketplace for vendors. We take this policy seriously and enforce it without exception.
β I have a question that isn't answered here. Who do I contact? If you have any questions about your membership, access, or anything inside the community, please reach out to Paula or Lynn directly. We are here to help and are happy to answer any questions you have.
By participating in Publishing for Leaders, you agree to the community rules and membership guidelines outlined above. We are so grateful you are here, and we cannot wait to support your publishing journey every step of the way. ππ¦«
