📖 🎥 This is the collaboration I have been excited about!
Des Dreckett helps creators build a full-time income from small YouTube audiences. I help thought leaders write and publish books. Together we are doing a swap that benefits both of our communities. Des is coming into Self Publishing for Leaders to talk about how authors can use YouTube for book marketing. And I am heading over to his community to talk about how content creators can turn their YouTube content into a published book. YouTube for Authors: The Book Marketing Strategy You Have Been Overlooking Come learn from someone who has cracked the YouTube income code and is sharing exactly how authors can do the same. 🦫 *August 18th at 11 AM PST / 2 PM EST* https://www.skool.com/publishing-for-professionals-9809/calendar?eid=cf14bcdb562e4dcb96cba194e5eb51f6

Write with Me Changing Times
📖 The Features Most Members Walk Right Past 🦫
Hey friends and future authors, I just recorded a walkthrough video that I really want you to watch, because there's a good chance you're only scratching the surface of what this community can do for you. We've built this space with so many ways for you to connect, get feedback, share your wins, and move your book forward, but many members never realize they're there. In the video, I walk you through each area of the community and show you exactly how to use it, from where to post when you're looking for beta readers, to the best spot to get honest feedback on your writing, to the weekly prompt that's been sparking some of our best conversations. I also share a few insider tips I've been teaching in our premium workshops that make a real difference in how much value you get out of showing up here. I promise you'll walk away with at least one idea you hadn't thought of, and probably a few. The members who use these features are the ones building real momentum and real relationships in here, and I don't want you missing out simply because no one showed you where to look. Do yourself a favor and watch the video. Then come back, jump in, and create one post to tell us where you are on your journey. After you watch, tell me in the comments which feature you'll try first. I'd love to know. 🦫

📅 Big Events Coming Up (and How to Never Miss One) 🦫
Hey everyone, here's a quick video walking you through updates to our community events, and I wanted to share the highlights here too so nothing slips past you. First, a heads up on timing. I recently changed some event times based on real data about when most members are online. Many sessions that used to run at 8 am PST have moved to 11 am PST, so if you had an old time in your head, check the calendar and update it. When you click on any event, it will also tell you whether your membership level includes access, so it's easy to see what's open to you. Adding events to your own calendar is simple. Click the event, hit Add to Calendar, and choose from Google, Apple, Outlook, and a few other options. It will download the event, and from there you can pull it from your downloads and add it to your personal calendar. My tip: if it's a repeating event you love, add all the upcoming dates at once so you never have to think about it again. Now for the upcoming Guest Workshops I'm genuinely excited about! On August 18th, Des Dreckett joins us for Market Your Book on YouTube. A fantastic session if you want to grow your reach on video. On September 1st, we have a free guest workshop with Laura from Tertulia on author website essentials. She's even sharing a discount link for Tertulia, so you'll want to show up live. On October 13th, I'm co-hosting Write Your Way to Funding with Danielle Desir, all about how to win grants to fund your creative projects. That includes books, music, art, any creative work, not just writing. If funding your project has been on your mind, put this one on your calendar now. A couple of things to know about our guest workshops. They happen on Tuesdays at 11 am Pacific, and they're always spaced at least two weeks apart so I have time to give each incredible guest the spotlight they deserve. ***New workshops get added regularly; check the calendar each week to see what's popping up next. Watch the video, then jump in and start adding events to your calendar.

📅 Big Events Coming Up (and How to Never Miss One) 🦫
📖 🎥 Three facts most authors do not know about YouTube:
1. You do not need to go viral to sell books. 2. You do not need thousands of subscribers to build a reader audience. 3. Your book is already a YouTube content strategy waiting to happen. Des Dreckett from The Content Revenue Lab is coming into our community to break all of this down in a free live workshop built specifically for authors.
