You're in the right place. Publishing a book as a thought leader is one of the most powerful things you can do for your business and your legacy. It positions you as the authority in your space, opens doors to speaking engagements, media features, and high-value clients, and creates something that outlasts any single conversation or social media post. Whether your book has been living in your head for years or you're just beginning to put the pieces together, this community was built for you. Self Publishing for Leaders exists for one reason: to help thought leaders like you stop saying 'someday' and start saying 'published'. This is a community space for professionals, coaches, consultants, speakers, and experts who are ready to share their knowledge with the world through a book — and use that book to build authority, attract clients, and leave a lasting legacy. Here's How it Works: Step 1: Introduce Yourself. Head over to the Introduce Yourself post and tell us who you are, what you do, and what your book is about - or what you want it to be about. Take a picture of yourself at your workspace, with your book or your favorite book (pets at workspaces are also welcome!) Don't be shy: this community is judgment-free. Step 2: Check the Calendar at the top of our community and make sure to add our two FREE community engagements: Group Coaching Workshops on the third Tuesday of the month and our Coffee Chats on the second Thursdays of the month. There's a convenient calendar download for each event! Come to as many as you like, and make sure to invite a friend! Step 3: Invite other Skoolers you know to join the group using your invite link. The more people join, the more people there are to promote to! Step 4: Explore the Categories. Browse the community categories to find the conversations most relevant to your current journey stage. Jump in, ask questions, and share what you know.

Thank you @Sheryl Robinson for pointing out that members only get points to level up when they get likes from other members. I don't think this is fair, so here is my letter to Skool recommending changing the platform. While you're here, make sure to post a comment and LIKE three other comments to boost our levels! "Hello, I really like the Skool platform. I've been using it, and I've got engaged members. I like the clean, bright interface and the intuitive features. However, there's a major issue with your platform's leveling system. You suggest preventing people from posting until they reach level 2; however, they can't reach level 2 unless someone likes their post. You need likes to level up, and you can't level up unless you post. So, preventing newcomers from posting blocks them out of leveling up. Also, members should get points for posting. I have members who are deeply frustrated that they are getting on daily and posting good content, but they aren't leveling up. Lastly, I'm having an issue with your auto-mod robot. It keeps flagging an author in my group who is very famous and a real person. I want to know how to get this removed from her profile."

Have questions about writing or publishing your book? On our last chat, one of our members found out that her publisher controlled her KDP account - but they never told her! This is one of the reasons that I recommend self-publishing your first book. https://www.skool.com/live/Vrv9BLCFpp8
