How Musicians REALLY Use AI - a new study
Great research report (attached) from Landr about how musicians are using AI. A few highlights: - 87% of artists now use AI somewhere in their workflow. - 29% of respondents are using song generators at some stage in their workflow, especially to create song parts like vocals and instruments. - 40% are interested in trying them
out, particularly for song parts or ideas rather than complete tracks. AI as a collaborator is the avenue to watch and learn IMO...
Keeping your head above water
Howdy everybody! As musicians artists and workers I know we all must have an inherent passion and love for our craft but I feel like sometimes most certainly in the music grind you can feel so behind or just not cut out for it, whether ability or just headspace! recently it’s a real struggle sometimes it can even feel daunting to open up the DAW! Whether it’s the stress of life or the worries of not delivering a solid musical product. Sometimes it can just feel overwhelming. I wanted to come here though to chat with all you awesome people to ask, how do you guys handle yourself when the work gets too much, or the worries outweigh the flow! How do you guys step away and re center yourself when it’s becoming a bit of a mental storm? And remember we can all do this together, it’s ok to struggle, and no one is alone! ❤️ : )
Trust & Discernment
As a singer/philosopher whose mission is elevating people through music I want to be aligned with people who also are on the same mission. Just received a partnership with someone who seems like it would be a great flow right into “Winning” on surface level. As tempting, I feel a pull to say no since it’s feeling too easy.. am I missing a good opportunity or discerning what’s on mission? How to know the truth?
Reminder 🦅
“A eagle can live in a chicken coop & co-mingle with chickens their whole life and even believe it’s a chicken… but the moment we need/decide to fly we spread our wings and realize the difference”
Nostalgic moment
It's something about this song every time I hear it, i know this song was apart of the soundtrack for the movie "The Lost Boys" but as a kid this song drew me in even more to the movie itself. Anyone in hear remember Gerard Mcmann "Cry Little Sister" https://youtu.be/mrMLMV6E4CM?si=7pACkhjPpQE1ODQX
