Self-Care Week: January Edition
January can be a challenging month. The holidays are over. Motivation is supposed to be high, but energy is often low. The days are short, routines are shifting, and many of us are already judging ourselves on our progress toward the goals we just set.
So, let's make this week "Self-Care Week!" If you can relate to the sentiments above, it may be time to focus on energy conservation, not full-speed-ahead self-improvement.
Instead of "doing more," consider:
  • Protecting your energy
  • Creating stability
  • Reducing decision fatigue
How? Give yourself permission and pick ONE non-negotiable daily anchor. That could be
  • Waking up at the same time every day
  • Eating the same breakfast
  • Taking the same 5-minute walk
  • Following the same waking-up or winding-down routine
Keep it intentionally boring and easily repeatable.
And let that one thing be "enough" for a successful day.
Don't be hard on yourself. Give yourself an easy win to celebrate.
What will be your easy win?
