📣 New Quest in the Classroom 🥳 - Thinking Outside the Brain
I've just dropped a new Quest in the Career Readiness Journey: Thinking Outside the Brain. The cognitive skills nobody teaches you. Annie Murphy Paul (the renowned science writer) makes a research-backed case that the smartest thinking doesn't happen inside your head. It happens when you use your body, your surroundings, and your relationships as extensions of your mind. You'll come away knowing how to: - Use your body as a thinking tool (interoception, gesture, movement) - Design your surroundings deliberately to support different kinds of cognitive work - Build "groupiness" in any team you lead or join - Tell the difference between cognition-draining and cognition-restoring breaks I'm really excited about this quest because it's more about how to replenish your brain's energy when it's exhausted, how to communicate in ways that will help people remember what you've said, and how to get the most out of a group. This Quest is going to be helpful whether you're working, in school, or just trying to get through you own day. This Quest officially opens the Career Readiness Journey. More career and workplace content will arrive every week or so from here on. Founders, you have full access through your lifetime VIP. Going forward, this Quest is Premium-tier for new members. Try a Waypoint or two, then come back and comment. What will you do differently?

@Becky Van Dissel Thank you!!
Body Doubling
Has any here heard of body doubling? I am not that familiar with it. But if I understand it correctly, it is where 2 or more people work "next" to each other, although not neccessarily on the same task. Here is what google says on the topic: ADHD body doubling is a productivity strategy where another person is present—in-person or virtually—while an individual with ADHD works on tasks. This technique helps anchor attention, increase accountability, and reduce distraction, making it easier to start and complete boring or overwhelming tasks. It acts as a form of "grown-up parallel play" to help manage focus. (There was more to the response but if I posted it, you may not get far into reading, TLDR). Although I don't have ADHD, I often lack motivation and/or discipline to work like I should or need to grow my business that is much needed. This is all to say, does anyone want to be my accountability buddy? I did this 25 yrs ago before I ever heard that term to work with people all over country to get housework done. It was wonderful.

This is a great technique to use. Recently, @Tina L mentioned it as a technique her sister uses when she needs to get things done. We tried it together (she to get tax docs together and I to get some data uploaded), but I admit to not following up well. In the end, we both got things done. I'd love to hear if anyone else has used this technique, and what you do to hold each other accountable OR (better yet) what you do to CELEBRATE.
Create Your AI Clone with a Master Prompt
You may have been reading or hearing about creating your AI Clone. It sounds like something straight out of a science fiction novel, right? (Every time I hear the term I picture a robot that looks like some version of me following me around everywhere). Today you can learn what an AI Clone is, and how to create it with a Master Prompt. Then, access the Master Prompt Wizard and spend some quality time creating your clone. Finally, once you've created your clone and tested it out, come back here and let us know how it went. ❓What went well? ⌛Did it save you any time? 🔮How do you think it will help you in the future? I can't wait to learn what you come up with! Start in the 💜Mastering AI Tools Journey💜 in the Classroom

@Kate Sobel Maybe one day, but not today. Sorry!
Happy Mother's Day, Moms!!
To every mom in this community, whether your kids are little or grown, whether you're in the thick of diapers and sleepless nights or watching your adult child navigate life on their own: today is yours. You are doing something that nobody hands you a manual for. You're the one who remembers every allergy, every appointment, every little fear your kid has never said out loud. You're the one who shows up at the school play and the late-night phone call and every ordinary Tuesday in between. You're teaching kindness, resilience, and how to be a decent human, mostly by just being one yourself. That stuff matters. More than you probably give yourself credit for. Here's what I want you to sit with today: the fact that you keep showing up, even on the hard days, says everything. So take a breath. Eat something you actually like. Let someone else do the dishes. You've earned it. And yes, if your babies have four legs and a tail, this includes you, too. Happy Mother's Day. With love from your Wayfinder, Jennifer (the purple one)
