Strange Requests
🎤 Muso Question of the Week What's the STRANGEST thing a venue or client has ever asked you to do at a gig? Not necessarily the worst gig or rudest venue. Just that moment where someone from management, or a wedding or a private client has walked over and made a request that left you thinking... "Sorry, you want me to do WHAT?" I've got a few of these myself after 4,000+ gigs, but I'll hold mine back for now because I want to hear yours first. 😂 There must be some absolute crackers in this group.
🎸 New Gear Category
Quick heads up everyone, I've opened a new Gear category for any gear-related questions or discussions. PA systems, guitars, pedals, mixers, mics, backing track setups, things that have made your life easier, or expensive things you bought because another musician told you that you absolutely needed one. 😂 We've already got plenty of experience in the group, so if you've got a gear question, throw it in there. And if you know the answer to someone else's, jump in and help them out.

Recovery mode

🎤 Muso Question of the Week.
Firstly, a big thank you to the OG members who've joined while this place is still brand new. It's great to have you here, and I'm hoping we can build this into a genuinely useful community for working and aspiring gigging musicians. There are already decades of experience between the people in here, so hopefully this becomes a place where we can share what we've learned, help each other out, have a laugh at the ridiculous side of gigging, and maybe save each other from learning EVERYTHING the hard way. So, to get things rolling... What's ONE thing you know about gigging now that you wish someone had told you when you started?
