Introduction!
Hello all! My name is Erin Sillery. I'm from Wingate, IN, and entering my senior year at Purdue University in the fall. I will be applying to vet schools this next cycle!
I feel as though there's been many enjoyable parts of my journey in veterinary medicine so far. One of the most interesting is that I attended an animal science camp in Missouri from ages 10-17 before working there as soon as I aged out. They have their own private zoo of over 100 different species, which includes the Savannah cat I'm pictured with in my bio (his name is Bentley; he's a big cuddle bug).
Another is that I am currently studying at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities for another month through an accelerated poultry program! I will be moving to my internship in South Dakota shortly after, assisting the company veterinarian at Hybrid Turkeys.
If I could work with any animal, I would want to work with a red panda. They're so cute and silly! I've always loved watching them at larger zoos.
