Happy Sabbath! Sabbath Skool Animal Trivia 🐾✨
Happy Sabbath, Everyone! Welcome back to Sabbath Skool Animal Trivia! This week we’re visiting one of the most convicting verses in all of the prophetic books, and it comes straight from the prophet Jeremiah. This one is short. It is quiet. And it isn’t a commonly discussed story. God is grieving over His people. Israel has turned away, refused correction, and chosen their own path over His. And in the middle of this heartbreaking rebuke, God does something unexpected. He points to the sky. He directs our attention to the birds, creatures that have no written law, no covenant, no Scripture, and yet they do something that His own chosen people were failing to do. They follow the order God built into them without question, without hesitation, and without turning back. As future veterinarians and animal professionals you are studying animal behavior, instinct, and migration. But this passage invites us to look at those same creatures through a different lens entirely. This Week’s Question: In Jeremiah 8, God names specific birds to make His point. What birds does He mention, what are they doing, and what is God’s indictment against His people in contrast? Read carefully, because the contrast between the animals and the people is the entire message😊 Hint: Start with Jeremiah 8:4 for the full context. 🌟 Fun Extra: After answering, share one interesting fact, scientific, behavioral, or clinical, about any of the birds mentioned! Bonus points if it connects to something you have studied or observed in your pre-vet journey! May your Sabbath be filled with rest and the quiet conviction to follow the path God has set before you! 🙏
