What’s Available

Black Beauty Ranch Animal Care Internship — Murchison, TX

Hands-on animal husbandry experience at one of the most well-known animal sanctuaries in the country. The ranch is home to over 800 domestic and exotic animals across more than 40 species, including equine, farm animals, primates, and wildlife. This is a 12-week, full-time commitment (~40 hrs/week) offered across all four seasons.

Veterinary Technician Internship — Black Beauty Ranch

Designed for those interested in exotic and large animal medicine. You will work directly alongside veterinary staff performing husbandry and medical duties with equine, hoofstock, primates, and exotic animals. Great for fulfilling school externship requirements or building post-grad experience.

⚖️ Policy and Advocacy Internships — Remote options available

Interested in the legislative side of animal protection? Tracks are available in animal protection law, wildlife, campaign work, and media relations. Many of these are remote, so no relocation required.
