1. Avian Conservation Center of Appalachia (ACCA) — Avian Care & Rehabilitation Internship
📍 Morgantown, WV
A summer internship built for pre-vet students. You’ll assist with veterinary exams, intakes, treatments, and pre-release conditioning for raptors and other wild birds. Apply at accawv.org. 2. The Raptor Trust — Summer Scholars Program
📍 Millington, NJ
Work directly with injured raptors and learn how human activity impacts wildlife populations. You’ll observe treatment for rodenticide and lead poisoning, window strikes, and more, while also doing public education. Open to enrolled college students 18+. theraptortrust.org 3. Braddock Bay Raptor Research — Spring Internship
📍 Hilton, NY (near Rochester)

📍 Davis, CA

📍 Sharing research in Spain + annual conference (2026 in Duluth, MN)
This NSF-funded program sends undergraduates to Spain for paid raptor research with a $5,092 stipend, covered travel, and meals. Note: the conference funding is tied to presenting your own research findings, so this one is best suited for students who already have or are actively working on a research project.
