Jeanette, Thinking of you so much today, and sending every bit of strength, comfort, and healing your way. You have been such a light of positivity — not just in the pottery community, but in the lives of everyone lucky enough to learn from you. Even though we haven’t met in person (yet!), I’ve always felt a strong connection with you all the way from here in the US to you in the UK.
You were one of the very first potters I discovered on YouTube, and I’ve binge-watched every one of your videos. I’ve learned so much from you — your tips, your calm encouragement, your joy in every kiln opening. Because of you, I have a Potters Underglaze Pad and stamps, and I do my best to keep my studio neat and organized (or at least try!) because I always think of your setup and how inspiring it is.
One day, I truly hope to travel across the pond and meet you — and maybe share a cuppa and some clay time with you and the other wonderful potters over there.
Today is Thanksgiving here in the US, and I’m feeling especially grateful for this incredible pottery community. The support, the kindness, the creativity — and the way we can feel so close across oceans — it’s something truly special. Thank you for being such a big part of that.
Wishing you a smooth surgery, an easy recovery, and so much love today. You’ve got an entire community lifting you up. 💛🌿
