Time is money in the pool service business so let's look at real world numbers. One of the best ways to save both is by keeping your customers close together. The less time you spend driving, the more pools you can service and the more profit you can earn.
If your route has stops 10–15 minutes apart, servicing 15 pools a day can mean 2.5 to 3.5 hours of drive time. Tighten that to 5–7 minutes between stops, and you’ll spend just over 1 hour driving, saving 1.5 to 2.5 hours per day — or up to 12.5 hours a week.
With that time, you can fit in one or two more pools daily. At $40 per weekly visit (or $160 per month), that’s an extra $200–$400 per week, or $800–$1,600 per month, without adding hours to your day.
Closer routes also mean lower fuel costs, less vehicle wear, and a smoother, more sustainable operation. Simply put — clustering your pool accounts is one of the easiest ways to boost efficiency, reduce expenses, and grow your bottom line.
