LSI is best to bring things into perfect balance. Most pool guys are doing range testing because its quicker (testing using strips or Taylor test kit liquid droppers). The Skimmer App, Pool Brain as well I believe, offer the software setting inputs to use LSI nowadays. In the beginning stages it's probably best to use that LSI because it's now built right into these apps...which makes things much easier. LSI focuses on Balance, and sanitation is a part of that. Just doing chlorine and acid doesn't paint the whole picture. Which is what most pool guys do. Also, you should be monitoring these other factors like Calcium Hardness, Alkalinity, TDS or Phosphates occasionally regardless of what method. It all matters in the long run for keeping that pool looking great. Cost wise, you could do a "Base" Chemicals included and charge extra for Algaecide, Calcium, Salt, Phosphate Remover, etc. It's all in how you present the offer to the client.

Please take a second to introduce yourself to the group, you could mention these topics if you like: 1. Are you in the swimming pool industry now? If yes, what do you do? 2. If not, what would you like to learn about this industry? 3. What State are you located in? These are some examples. Our goal with this post is to meet you and welcome you. We appreciate you joining our group.
