What is the most you ever spent on a single card and why?

For me, it's the Charizard V (BRS 154). I paid €175 for a very nice copy which I hope will get a PSA 10 (added 2 pics - was a bit hard to catch the card in proper light 👀).

Because of the Brilliant Stars reprint the value has dropped a bit now, but long term I think this card will be an absolute winner.

I was looking for a properly centered copy for a long time and just couldn't find one for months, until one day I found someone on Cardmarket who was selling his whole English collection because he wanted to switch to only collecting Japanese cards. The card and centering looked perfect, and with this card being so hard to pull and the 'original' Charizard alt art, I decided to pull the trigger.

Now I'm wondering what's the most you ever spent on a single card, which card was it, do you still have it, and what made you decide to buy it despite its relatively high price?
