In this 12-week course, students and teachers learn to design Capstone Projects that provide evidence of student readiness in three areas: Life, Work and Learning. The NextREADY Graduate Portfolio System (GPS) brings “real world rigor” to help students navigate their way to high performance, documenting their mastery of key competencies: Durable Life Skills, Career Technical Education and 21st Century Skills as they are used in Capstones.

Playing the Changes - Family AI Jam
Reimagine your family (birth, chosen, or extended) as a band, with AI as its newest member, and you as bandleader. Learning together, you’ll transform fear of change into freedom to use change, navigating chaotic times with joyful perseverance, through improvisation, playful routines, and the power of daily practice. Being a bandleader (and not a sideman) co‑creating your Journey Journal with AI turns it into a mirror, coach, and collaborator, building your skills for wise, self‑directed AI use.

Bluddhists' Cafe
In Bluddhists' Cafe, we meet where jazz improvisation and Buddhism join: in transforming fear of change into the ability to use change to learn the nature of our minds. We call this Playing the Changes.
Through music we more easily understand: Blues (Karma), Changes/Pivot (Impermanence), the Rest (Emptiness).
We develop Joyful Perseverance to bring more balance, joy and kindness to our inner and outer world, through our conversations and gatherings to find out.
