Licensed offers need these 3 things to PiggyBANK successfully...

So over Christmas and New Years I got hooked on this indie game called Guns Of Fury.
It's a military-based Metroidvania game.
You get the run n' gun gameplay of the arcade classic Metal Slug with the exploratory nature of Metroid or Castlevania.
I've beaten it once.
And I'm close to beating it a SECOND time on what they call New Game Plus.
Now...
A few months back I was playing another Metroidvania game called Hollow Knight.
I talked about it here when referring to speed runners.
Never finished it.
Didn't even come close.
So here's the weird part...
Why am I almost through one game TWICE...
While I couldn't even beat the other game ONCE?
Both games are awesome.
Both are clearly different from other games out there.
Both are clearly desirable...I WANTED to beat them.
But here's what I figured out...
Only Guns of Fury was clearly DOABLE for me.
See...
I got so frustrated getting killed by almost impossible bosses in Hollow Knight that I just stopped playing.
Make no mistake...Guns of Fury isn't a walk in the park either.
I've died PLENTY of times.
But it's way more doable after a few deaths and figuring out the patterns.
I could actually SEE myself winning.
Now...
This is EXACTLY what happens with a lot of offers that get licensed.
The offer is clearly different...maybe nothing like it.
It's clearly desirable...people want it.
But if it's NOT clearly doable?
Customers quit.
Just like I quit Hollow Knight.
They get frustrated.
They feel like failures.
As PiggyBANKERS we want to pick licensed offers with three qualities.
Travis Sago calls this the CD3 framework.
**Clearly Different**
**Clearly Desirable**
**Clearly Doable**
All three have to be there.
Not just two.
When you're looking at licensed offers to promote...
Run 'em through the CD3 test.
Is it clearly different from what else is out there?
Is it clearly desirable...do people actually WANT this result?
And here's the one I don't want you to miss...
Is it clearly DOABLE for your audience?
Can they actually see themselves winning with this?
Or are you setting them up to rage quit like I did with Hollow Knight?
When looking for offers to license make sure they pass the CD3 test and you'll be on your way to PiggyBANKING in no time.

BTW, every offer I have available inside the classroom passes the CD3 test.
