Welcome to Physiology First University!
We’re so excited you’re here! This community is built around one simple idea: the better you understand your physiology, the better you can shape your health, performance, and future. To get started, here are three simple steps: 1. Introduce Yourself Create a post and tell us a little about yourself. - Where are you joining us from? - What brought you to Physiology First University? - What’s one health, performance, or wellbeing goal you’re working toward? We genuinely want to get to know you. This community is built on learning together. 2. Complete the Foundations Mini Course Head over to the Foundations Mini Course classroom and work through the introductory lessons on: - Breath - Sleep - Exercise - Nutrition - Brain Health These principles form the foundation for everything else you’ll learn here. 3. Join the Daily Lessons Every day you’ll find a short lesson designed to help you understand your body a little better. Don’t just watch-participate. - Ask questions. - Share what you’re trying. - Tell us what you notice. - Learn from other members. Small actions, repeated consistently, create life changing results. Explore at Your Own Pace You’ll also notice additional classrooms and resources throughout the platform. Some are available as part of our premium membership for members who want to dive deeper into physiology, personalized health, coaching, and implementation. There’s no rush. Start with the Foundations, enjoy the daily lessons, and explore as your curiosity grows. Once again, welcome to Physiology First University. We’re grateful you’re here, and we’re looking forward to learning alongside you! David and The Physiology First Team
Welcoming Emily Wallace to the Fellowship!
Team, We’re beyond honored and excited to welcome Emily Wallace, a perimenopause specialist and passionate health innovator to the Physiology First Fellowship. From the moment we connected, I knew Emily had the spark and drive to help shape the future of health. We couldn’t be more excited to deepen our collaboration through the Fellowship, and hopefully you’ll see her joining our Tuesday meetings very soon. Follow her incredible work on IG @perimenopausewithemily A few other exciting updates: Physiology First Fellowship Practitioner Health & Performance Portal Emily has a beautiful home gym with much of the same equipment we use at the campus. This gives us an opportunity to start doing live weekly trainings for the Fellowship, where we can take Emily and all Fellowship members who are able to attend through the Physiology First approach - workouts, strength training, conditioning, recovery, breathing, and more. We’ll archive these sessions so that all of us can train, learn, and develop the approach together. Physiology First Five App The Physiology First Five app is undergoing major development, some of it at the request of Joel, who is working to bring the app into schools in Sweden, and Sue, who is bringing it into schools in New Jersey. The app will now include a personal client dashboard that saves your data and allows you to track progress across our longevity benchmarks, strength benchmarks, conditioning tests, and overall health metrics, as well as data you input from your wearables. As always, this is a work in progress, so please continue giving input and feedback as we develop it. But it’s off to a strong, strong foundation. New Physiology First E-Books Finally, our Women’s Health Optimization program is getting its own e-book! Ultimately, I’d like to do this for the Certification, Fellowship, and Affiliate models themselves—creating streamlined resources where you can easily find the curriculum, understand how to access it, and see exactly how you can benefit from and implement it.
Welcoming Emily Wallace to the Fellowship!
Women's Health Optimization: Fellowship Meeting today at 3pm EST
Team, Tonight’s Fellowship meeting will be a deep dive into our Women’s Health Optimization Program - our approach to strength training for women, the role of personalized physiology, and why this represents such an enormous opportunity for all of us involved. One principal that I want you to keep in mind is that there is a simple rule for disrupting and reinventing community health: Every model that you see in your area, from fitness franchise, to globe gym to individual practitioners ask: How can I be 10 X better in what I offer to my clients - at minimum? This question will lead you to greatness, lasting impact and generational change. We’ll get practical tonight with demonstrations, real-world applications, and a glimpse into the future of truly personalized women’s health and performance. Can’t wait to see you there! I’m back!!
Despite being in this space for a fair while and believing in this work so much, I have been faffing and not actually doing anything. Summer has been full on but I’m now BACK! I’ve just had a talk with my daughter about how little there is in our local area for teens and young adults, that I have decided that now is THE time. This is where I finally pull my finger out and offer sessions for teens and young adults. So I need your help, how the frigg do I do it? There are so many hoops to jump through that I’ve kinda out it on hold… HELP!!
Code of Potential: Breathing for YOUR body
Code of Potential Team, I’m so excited to dive into Breathing for Your Body tonight. Breathing principles are simple. The application is extremely personal. The reason breathing - as a mechanism for improving mental and physical fitness, nervous system resilience, and overall health - isn’t a default first solution for improving body awareness is that one-size-fits-all principles are too often forced onto everyone’s physiology. The problem is, they don’t work. And that leads people to: A) Dismiss breathing as an essential skill, and B) Become even more detached from their own physiology. Tonight, we’re going to dive deep into individual breathing biomechanics, CO₂ sensitivity, the anxiety response, and how to leverage your breath as a power tool in every realm of life. See you there! ~ David Zoom link: https://us06web.zoom.us/j/89198624400 ‌
