My name is Tina, and I survived what should have destroyed me.
Over forty foster placements.
Psych wards.
Group homes.
Abuse.
Addiction.
Suicidal thoughts.
I became a mother while still trying to survive child-sized wounds.
I buried both of my parents
and tried to raise my children while feeling completely alone.
I was 430 pounds, on multiple medications,
barely able to walk, breathe, or remember sentences.
Doctors said signs of early dementia were starting.
But I refused to die in the same pain I was born into.
I fought.
I healed.
I lost over 150 pounds,
came off every medication,
no depression, no dementia—
and I earned two master’s degrees.
Now, I use my story to help others rewrite theirs.
This is Phoenix Raiin.
Where trauma ends.
Healing begins.
And we rise — together.
