Did O.J. Simpson’s Verdict Surprise You? (1990s)
I naively was surprised when I.J. Simpson was “found” not guilty of double homicide. Were you?
In law school, I had heard about Jury Nullification, meaning ignoring evidence and just issuing whatever verdict the jury wants to for whatever reason.
The 7th Amendment I believe provides for a trial by jury, especially for criminal offenses.
What were your thoughts?
