God (and USA History)? Thoughts
Respectfully, do you believe God has a valuable role in American society, our schools, our culture since its Founding? And what role should the word “God” be uttered? The Seperation of Church and State is not stated in the U.S. Constitution! It merely says the government can not “Establish a Religion”. So we have freedom of religion. Do you think prayer should have been taken out of public schools, because it used to be there? Where God is Stated: The Declaration of Independence: “We are endowed by our Creator with certain inalienable rights. That among these are Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness”(no guarantees there) On our Currency: In God We Trust The Pledge of Allegiance: One Nation, under God…. The Oath of Office: “So help me God” My thoughts: May God bless you, and God bless America!

FDR’s 4 Terms (Presidential King?)
It’s Presidents’ Day and I included him in my Top 7 Presidents in U.S. history (1933-1945). The only President to serve more than 2 terms. The 22nd Amendment was passed after he passed away in office saying presidents could only be elected to 2 terms. 10 years maximum if becoming president as VP to President like Lyndon Johnson when JFK was assassinated, could still run for 2 elections. What are your thoughts on term limits for a U.S. President and do you think Congressmen, Senators, and Supreme Court Justices should have terms limits of some kind because they don’t?

@Julianne Anderson I agree, in 1994 , Newt Gingrich as Speaker of the House ran in part of his Contract with America that they would vote on term limits for Congressmen, but, of course, they never did.

@Stephanie Kara the United States is a divided country, nearly 50-50. One party, Republican or Democrat, is rarely ever in power for more than 8 years before a shift to the other party here. The last time even the same party had more than 2 terms in a row was Ronald Reagan 2 terms, and George H.W. Bush 1 term, and after 12 years a Democrat, Bill Clinton was elected. I doubt the USA would tolerate more than that without switching parties
