Greating a developer acount

Hi guys, while signing up for me Salesforce developer account, the column for Post code and username were not visible .

Then in the email where the account is supposed to be confirmed, a link to reset password was seen and a username which i didn't input myself was assigned to me as seen on the attached images, instead of link to confirm my account as seen in the training.

Can someone who's more experienced please suggest what could have happened and what next.
