My progress so far 🥰

People often ask why I start with a fluorescent base layer.

For me, it’s all about helping my eyes see colour more clearly. The bright underpainting makes it much easier to judge the colours I’m adding on top and helps me build the painting gradually.

I also love that, by the end, tiny little flashes of that fluorescent colour still peek through in places. They’re not mistakes, they bring a little extra energy and light to the painting, making it feel more alive for me.

It also tells people that this work is mine i didn’t realise this someone pointed it out as I just did it originally to help my eyes adjust 🙈💜
