Mediocrity or Fashionability
I know im old and styles come into fashion and fade. Old standards no longer hold true
I have noticed that photos by and large have become 10-20% darker. Not to accentuate the light but darker overall. Maybe the work ive seen by contemporary shooters have no idea on how to use the brightness and contrast sliders. Now dont get me wrong, murky and mushy can be a creative choice but not in every case. I believe its laziness and thoughtlessness. Snd not just on these skool sights but in my current issue of Black and White magazine. The images for the most part lack crispness detail and are simply overwhelmingly mediocre.
Tell me what you think. Am i simply being out of step with current style or am i closer to being right?
I really wanna know
