Cleaning Wheels the OC way!
Below is our step to step guide on how to properly clean your wheels!! 🛞 Step 1: Pre-Rinse Wheels Start by thoroughly rinsing the wheels, tyres, and arches. This removes loose dirt and cools the surface (never clean hot wheels). ————————————————————————————————— 🧪 Step 2: Apply Wheel Cleaner / Iron Remover Spray a dedicated wheel cleaner or iron remover onto: - Wheel face - Barrel - Around lug nuts Let it dwell for 2–5 minutes. You’ll often see a purple reaction as it breaks down brake dust! ————————————————————————————————— 🧼 Step 3: Clean Tyres Separately Use a tyre cleaner and a stiff brush to scrub the sidewalls. This removes old tyre dressing and built-up grime (you’ll see brown foam if it’s dirty). ————————————————————————————————— 🪥 Step 4: Agitate the Wheels Use multiple brushes: - Barrel brush (inside the wheel) - Soft face brush (front of wheel) - Small detailing brush (lug nuts & tight areas) Work methodically to reach every part. ————————————————————————————————— 🚿 Step 5: Rinse Thoroughly Rinse everything thoroughly, ensuring no cleaner is left behind—especially inside the barrel and around bolts. ————————————————————————————————— 💨 Step 7: Drying Dry with a microfiber towel or air blower to prevent water spots. —————————————————————————————————
