A simple body image practice for you today 🌸
Next time a negative thought about your body shows up, you don't need to push it away or argue with it. Just notice it's there, and meet it with a bit of compassion. Something like, "I hear you, and it makes sense you feel that way." Then, gently add something else alongside it. Think of your worth like a flower made up of lots of different petals — and not one of those petals is how your body looks. Each petal is something else entirely: your kindness, your humour, the way you care for the people around you, the things you're good at, the things you've lived through. So many petals, and your appearance was never one of them. So when that hard thought shows up, try naming one petal alongside it. Just one thing about you that has nothing to do with how your body looks. You don't have to silence the hard thoughts to remember your worth is still there. You just learn to hold both 🤍 What's one petal you can name today?

What are your cravings trying to tell you?
For a long time I genuinely believed I had no willpower when it came to food. Chocolate, biscuits, cake — I'd eat them and couldn't stop, and then I'd spend the rest of the day feeling guilty and blaming myself. I thought the problem was me. That other women could have one biscuit and walk away, and I simply couldn't. But cravings aren't a willpower problem. They're information. And this is the gateway to healing. Most of the time cravings come down to one of three things. Either you're not eating enough through the day and your body is playing catch up. Or you've got food rules running in the background creating that feast or famine feeling — eat as much as possible now because tomorrow I'm starting again. Or there's an emotion underneath it that's looking for somewhere to go. None of those things are character flaws. They all make complete sense when you understand what's driving them. The shift that changed everything for me was moving from criticising myself to getting curious. Not "what is wrong with me" but "I wonder what's going on here."
