Need a new phone number?
I recently needed a phone number that wasn’t my primary line. Tried sending a single text from Google Voice (yes—legal said it was fine)… and Google immediately shut the number down. Zero warning. Gone.
So I went looking for something reliable, cheap, and unlikely to get canceled.
This solved it.
For under $6/month, I added a second line using an eSIM—completely separate from my personal number for calls and texts. I even picked a Colorado Springs area code for a little extra anonymity.
Best part: I turned data off on the second line since my primary line already covers that. Simple. Clean. No overlap.
If you’ve ever needed a backup number, business line, or just separation between worlds, this is worth a look.
