Is your organization “Googlable”?
Ok, so maybe that’s not a real word but I think you get my point. This post is for those who actually have a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit organization. Weekend challenge: 1. Type your nonprofit name into Google search. 2. New search: Type your nonprofit name and the city and state of where the nonprofit is registered. 3 Create social media pages for your nonprofit if you do not have one for Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn. TikTok is optional but encouraged. These must be created from your personal and FB will need to be verified.- The reason I asked you to do this is because funders will do this basic search when you are requesting funding. Also, when you have a fundraising event or even a community event, potential donors and attendees will do the same. Social media is free and the foundation of awareness which often leads to building credibility. In this current climate, the latter is critical. Although I didn’t add this to the list, you may want to Google your name and the organization together. Just remember, on the Internet there is no way to separate your personal image from your professional image. You are a leader of influence! As much as you feel comfortable, share in the comments what you were surprised to find. If you found other nonprofits with the same or a similar name share whether they were more or less visible than your organization. Lastly, if you experienced an ‘ah-hah’ moment during any part of this process, feel free to share in the comments.

Nonprofit Cheat Sheet🚀
I realize that for many of you, the nonprofit world seems to be something from another planet. Well, I promise you it is NOT, if you allow me to support you in your journey. The first part of that support is using the resources and education provided on this FREE platform and actually implementing it in your nonprofit organization. For example, I have been sharing this Nonprofit Cheat Sheet for many years. But what I found when I have a conversation with many who have received this document is, that they never really bothered to read it, nor did they implement any of it within their organization. Now, if you are already familiar with the resources or have some better, as they say, "kudos" to you. BUT for the majority, I hope you implement and/or apply it to your operations. The free and low-cost resources are the advantage for nonprofit organizations. Not everything needs to be free because your basic operations are no different than those of a regular CORPORATION. My ask for this post is that you download the sheet and after reviewing and incorporating a few resources into your operations or systems, please share 1-2 resources that you found most helpful and let us know why. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1vn_yQ8zhNQ5KZ6igHWb2YecjkVjyBq4_/view?usp=drive_link

Q4 Plans and Giving Tuesday
Well, we only have two more months for Q4 of 2025! I'm checking in to see who has plans for this season. I would love to know if you have plans since this is the biggest time for "givers to give". By the way, I will be hosting a 5-day challenge that leads up to Giving Tuesday, https://www.givingtuesday.org/participate/. I suggest that if you haven't already, sign up for the newsletter, download the tools, and plug into how to launch for Giving Tuesday. Stay tuned for how you may sign up for the challenge to raise money for our communities in need! Let us know if you have an event planned by answering the survey (poll) below. Are you having any challenges right now as it relates to fundraising or overall planning your nonprofit event? If so, share in the comments.

Creating a Transformative Program Attracts Funders
Happy Sunday! It's almost over, here in Nashville, TN (US). So I will not be defeated. I did an ENTIRE video using Loom and when I reviewed I saw that my screen was NOT shared. I made a commitment to myself that I would post a training video tonight, so here goes...don't judge me! I added the video clip of the Google Doc that I copied and pasted at the end. Problem #2, Loom would not allow me to add clips in the middle of each document. Sharing ChatGPT Prompts to create a program: PROMPT 1 Create a proposal for a [local youth mentoring program for disadvantaged families that meets every Saturday during the school year]. Grant Writing Course
Have you started the course? I really need to hear from you. Remember this is a basic course but I think it will help you get started. I encourage you NOT to wait til you "think" you are ready. There is sooooo much money beyond the government grants that may or may not be cut. You don't need a million dollars, just yet. But I'm sure a few thousand or maybe a few hundred will help. After you have gone through the course, let's talk about next steps! www.nonprofithelpneeded.com
