I recall the email marketer Anik Singal talking in one of his videos about his first foray into internet marketing, and how he tried desperately to learn and sought advice on the Warrior Forum.
He explained that he was about to jack it in, until someone contacted him and taught him email marketing - which helped him get sales and he subsequently found success.
However, he also mentioned that later he mixed it up a bit, changed the formula, no doubt curiously trying out some new idea. But this deviation from the original system he was taught resulted in failure. He describes this as if he had diluted the magic formula in some way. Realising his mistake he returned to the original email marketing system, stabilising his situation.
My question. Do you know how he deviated from his original email marketing system? What did he try?
The reason I ask is because I am considering using a multi-page website in conjunction with email marketing in order to help a number of small businesses. A bit like a network, hence the possible advantage of using a large website. But I don't want to needlessly repeat the mistake of others.
I'd be grateful for any feedback on this.
