The ONE Thing I never hear Olympians say...
Darn,
If only I trained harder, I would have won that.....
In EVERY sport and at EVERY level as an athlete; coach ;and yes Dad (and Husband) the one thing that is consistent is that they NEVER will make excuses for their LACK of Training.
Other External things might keep them off the top Block of that Gold Medal (biased judges etc...) but its NEVER their Internal issues (a recent death of a teammate or family member) that holds them back.
They ALWAYS somehow know how to pull off that undeniable urge to be a CHAMPION.
Its the drive that makes them want to be in the race to finish no matter what.
Be the driver- not the passenger!
