🤕 After months of inflammation and achy joints, I finally felt well enough to strength train again — and I’m so excited! 😬 🏋🏻♀️ The only “problem”? Since leaving my local CrossFit gym last year, I haven’t joined anywhere new. And honestly… that’s okay, because driving has always been my biggest obstacle to working out. 🤸🏻 Luckily, CrossFit has a free app with a workout of the day plus modification options. That means I can grab whatever dumbbells I have, pull up a structured workout, and just start. (And if you’ve got an iPhone, Apple Fitness is a solid option too!) 👦🏼 Working out at home also makes it easy to include my son — he “helps me count,” copies my warm-up moves, and we take little dance/play breaks when I need a minute to catch my breath. For months, it’s been easy to default to “I’m too tired” or “I’m in too much pain.” But when I move, the energy and endorphins that hit me during and after a workout feel like nothing else 🤩 The biggest reminder for me wasn’t motivation — it was removing friction. I don’t need the perfect plan, the perfect gym, or a big time block. I just need something I can start right where I am: at home, with what I have, at the level my body can handle today. Because when exercise is simple, it becomes doable… and when it’s doable, it becomes consistent. ❤️
