Big win for Fretboard Flyers + 3️⃣ values to focus on 👁️
LONG POST WARNING - For the quick version, watch the video at the end 👇 Over the last few weeks, our group has been climbing the music charts here on Skool! And that's because you're active and engage here in the group. The higher we go, the more people find us — which means more awesome members and chances to connect and learn together. I just want to thank you for being here and engaging. It means a lot! But to be clear, i don't think our goal is to build the biggest guitar community out there. It’s to build one based on three strong values: Magic. Connection. Structure. ✨ Magic When I was 12, I played my first show in a run-down school cafeteria. There were only four people there. I was nervous, my hands were sweaty, and I barely knew what I was doing. But the moment I started playing, something clicked — and I knew I’d play guitar for the rest of my life. If we can create similar magical moments here in this group, that’s something truly worth aiming for. 🤝 Connection A week or two ago, I was at a cabin with one of my best friends, Mikael. We started our first band together years ago and still play to this day. At the cabin, I showed him a riff I’d been stuck on. He just said, “How about a B chord?” And suddenly, it sounded amazing. Sometimes all it takes is connecting with the right person to unlock something new. Let’s make this group a place where those kinds of connections happen all the time. 🧭 Structure A lot of guitarists want to learn but don’t have a clear structure. Even many teachers struggle to give that. This group is, first and foremost, like a cocktail party for guitar players — magic and connection come first. But if you ever want to take things to the next level and learn with more structure, you know where to find me. By the way, the structure for learning should be so easy to follow it's fun. Besides these values, i think it will be exciting to grow this community together. To do that, all we have to do is be active. Like, comment and don't be afraid to start conversations. What you do matters to me and all the other members :) Let's rock!

Fretboard Opens Up: Beginner → Advanced Beginner
Here’s a clip from my lesson with @David Chisholm yesterday. I started by asking him some questions. Sometimes, depending on how long i’ve worked with them, I ask my students what they like or don’t like about the lessons. That way I can make them even better 🏆 My goal is to make the Fretboard Flyer Method the easiest way to learn the neck. Your ideas help a lot! David said he can now connect chords easier. He feels more like an advanced beginner than a brand new one when it comes to the fretboard navigation. I thought that was awesome, and I hope it inspires more people to pick up the guitar today. Even if it’s just for a few minutes 🎸

New Student: "The Fretboard Just Clicked!"
Here's a little snippet from a lesson i had with @Jaime Ayala earlier today. He had a breakthrough moment when he was able to see the fretboard more clearly. Big win! 🤩 What's your biggest breakthrough moment on the guitar so far? 🎸

Chord fluency unlocked! 🔐
Geoffrey and I started learning chordal scales (harmonized scales) a while back. For someone who just wanted to learn solos and leads, this is a big step forward. Here's a sneak peek into our lessons and his progression in the past weeks. Congrats @Geoffrey Becker! Keep up the consistency and good work 🎸🤘 I know I went through the topic in this video fast because I just wanted to focus on Geoffrey's progress, but if you're interested in learning this fretboard navigation exercise as well, feel free to reach out to me and I'll be happy to give you a helping hand 😊

Scar Tissue Improv Leaves Student Mindblown 🤯
Here's a little behind-the-scenes footage from a recent lesson I had with my student Vicente. We were learning how to improvise over "Scar Tissue" by the Red Hot Chili Peppers. He had never navigated the neck like this before. So he had a pretty big ah-a moment. Lots of fun with slow and steady progress 😁
