Finally got a tube amp
It's a hybrid with a SS preamp.
But it's a 50 watt Peavy Classic VT 2x12 from the 80s.
It's not much but I think as in th market for a deal and I didn't think I would find anything better than this.
The funniest thing about this is that it has no volume knobs. Just gain.
1 for each channel and a master gain knob.
Of course these double as the volume knobs, but the fact that they chose to prioritize calling them gain knobs over volume knobs is hilarious.
And it leads me to the obvious downside which is that it is naturally very fuzzy.
Maybe it's the tubes but I think this is just a gain machine.
Crazy that it was at Guitar Center. This is the second time I've actually found a better deal there than any of the marketplace or CL pages.
