This drawing is still a work in progress. I find it quite interesting that I have been working on this calendar project for 3 years but still find hidden layers. I saw that when you take a particular geometric decision, emergent geometries start appearing that can only be seen if drawn out. I noticed that when you cut up the year in this particular way, 13 weeks make up a season, from equinox to solstices ect.
13 weeks is 91 days, that number reminded me of something. So I thought to draw the flower of life pattern until I get to 91 circles. One circle for each day. Then I saw that they perfectly make up the pattern with 6 rings of circles, all interlocking. So I started drawing a bigger one with all 4 seasons, total of 364 circles, one for each day that is accounted for in the Solar Cross Calendar. (The other 1.2422 days are accounted for by a shifting mechanism with ‘days out of time’). I still have work to do on this one, want to mark all the new and full moons, equinoxes and solstices and eclipses in the year coming up from Spring Equinox 2026, and see how that looks like.
