A truth you were born with

What is something you just knew to be true from as early as you can remember without reference, and then science or the world proved to be true in your lifetime?

I’ll start. I always knew that whale calls were actually a language. I considered becoming a marine biologist so I could study whale calls to research this exact thing. And now they have discovered that it is, essentially, a language.
