Crochet 101 Basics is happening in 6 hours
Celebrate our new Nookies!
I spent the better part of the day away from socials and came back to a pleasant surprise! We had 2 new members pending! I want to officially welcome you both, @Autum Bock & @Kimberly B to our Sanctuary! Please find the Start Here Post to learn a little more about the Sanctuary. Please give them a warm welcome! We look forward to learning more about you while we tackle the hook and string!
A Little "Proud Momma" Brag Post! 🧶✨
As a crochet artist—and especially as a teacher in my local community —the question I get asked most is: "Do your kids crochet, too?" The short answer? Yes! But the "mom" answer? I let them find their own rhythm. While all my kiddos have mastered the basics (we’ve made a lot of chains in this house!), I’ve always had a rule: If they aren’t feeling the spark, I don’t push the hook. Creativity should feel like a playground, not a chore! But today, my "Crochet Momma" heart is absolutely bursting. My oldest first picked up a hook 16 years ago. What started as tiny, super-tightly woven granny squares has evolved into something truly breathtaking. From stunning wearables to intricate earrings and everything in between, seeing their growth and artistic eye develop has been such a gift. It’s a beautiful reminder that when we plant those seeds of creativity—and give them plenty of room to grow—they eventually bloom into something spectacular. 🌸 Tell me in the comments: Have you passed your craft down to your kids or grandkids? Or are you the "First Generation" maker in your family? 👇

Pull up a chair... I want to hear your heart for 2026. ☕✨
Hi everyone, I’ve been doing a lot of talking lately—sharing my "No-Buy" pledge, my hopes for this Sanctuary, and even the messy truth about how my favorite hobby started feeling like a chore. Thank you for listening and for stepping into this space with me. But today, I’m putting my hook down and pulling up a chair because I want to hear from you. Whether you’ve been following my journey since the beginning or you just found this community five minutes ago, you belong here. This isn't just my Sanctuary; it’s ours. I’ve put my 2026 goals out there (trading the "Yarn-nado" for more intentional, peaceful stitches), but now it’s your turn. I want to know what’s sitting on your heart as we start this new year together. If you’re comfortable sharing, tell me: ❤️What is your "One Word" for 2026? 🌹What is one thing you want to let go of in your creative life this year? (Maybe it’s the guilt of unfinished projects, or the pressure to be perfect?) 👑What is a "peaceful goal" you have for yourself? 👋Do you have a community of your own here on Skool? Share it with us. 💡Is said community doing any fun challenges this month? Today is the day to share it all and connect. There are no wrong answers here. This is a "no-hustle" zone. Whether your goal is to finally finish that one blanket or simply to pick up your hook for five minutes when the world gets too loud, I want to celebrate it with you. Heck, your goal doesn't even have to be crochet or craft related, I wanna know about you! Drop your thoughts in the comments below. I’ll be here all day reading and replying—I can’t wait to get to know you all a little deeper. With love, Melissa

If crochet makes you feel stupid, it's not you. I teach "impatient" humans with zero pressure. No hovering or perfectionism—just crochet that clicks.
