We're making a small change that reflects a much bigger vision for this community. 🌻 After listening to your feedback, I’ve made a decision on affiliate links in the space. We're building a central Products Library inside the Classroom! 🥳. A permanent resource where members can find Safety Data Sheets, technical information, educational resources, community reviews and, where appropriate, trusted purchase links. If a member would like their affiliate link featured alongside a brand, they'll need to provide the relevant Safety Data Sheets so we can ensure the products in our resource library meet the safe, professional standards we're trying to promote. This isn't about limiting recommendations. We want you sharing your favourite products, experiences and honest opinions. It's simply about keeping promotional content organised and making sure our permanent resources are built on evidence, not just marketing. Most importantly, we want to reward members for helping build this community, not for turning it into a marketplace. That's why we offer an $8 USD/month recurring referral commission for every member you invite who remains subscribed. If you believe in what we're building, share it with other nail techs. As the community grows, so does your recurring income. We believe that's a healthier incentive than turning discussions into sales opportunities. One of the biggest challenges for new nail techs is figuring out how to actually start their business legally. The problem is... every country (sometimes every council/state!) has different rules. Some require a licence and some require specific qualifications. Some require business registration, insurance, council approvals, tax registration... and some require very little at all. Instead of trying to piece everything together from random Google searches, I'd love for us to build one place where nail techs can find the information they need 🫶 HERE'S THE IDEA: We'll create a new Classroom course called How to Operate Legally, with a separate module for every country. Each module would include either: - A short PDF, or - A quick video ...created by a nail tech who actually lives and works there. You'd simply explain things like: - What qualifications (if any) are required. - Whether you need a licence or permit. - How to register your business. - Tax requirements. - Insurance recommendations or requirements. - Any other important legal information someone should know before taking clients. If we can get contributors from enough countries, we'll end up with an incredible resource that helps nail techs all over the world start their businesses with confidence! 🌻 If you'd like to create the module for your country, comment below with your country (or send me a message).
