Social Media Session - 17/03/26
Missed the call or short on time? Here’s the quick breakdown 👇 (First of all - I do apologize about the bird and my foul language 🥲) This session was all about what a brand actually is and why it’s one of the biggest factors in building a strong client base. A lot of nail techs think branding means logos, colours, and an aesthetic feed. Those things do help… but they’re not the brand. Your brand is the meaning people attach to your name. When someone hears your name, what do they instantly think of? • insanely detailed nail art • luxury manicures • flawless structure• the nail health girl Those associations don’t happen by accident. They’re built through repetition. Every time someone sees your work, your content, or your salon experience, their brain is linking: your name + a specific idea Over time, that link becomes automatic. And that’s when people start saying things like: “I’ve been wanting to book with you for ages.”“I heard you’re amazing at nail art.” That’s branding doing its job. A few key takeaways from the call: • A brand is a mental shortcut. It’s what people instantly associate with your name. • Consistency builds strong brands. When your content repeatedly reinforces the same message, the association becomes stronger. • Random content weakens your brand. If your page is a mix of unrelated posts, the brain can’t categorise what you’re known for. • Strong brands usually start narrow. Trying to appeal to everyone makes it harder for people to remember what you specialise in. • Branding reduces price comparison. When clients associate you with something specific, they stop looking for the cheapest option and start looking for you. The goal isn’t to post more. The goal is to become known for something. Because when someone in your area thinks: “I want really good nail art.” …and your name pops into their head first… that’s when your brand starts working for you. 💅

Inviting us to collaborate on IG 💛
A few members have recently requested to collaborate on posts on our IG, and WE LOVE THAT! I will accept the collaboration posts IF: - In the post, the community is mentioned and you are inviting new members to join - Your invite link is findable in your bio I’m doing this to stop clutter on our feed, while still providing you an opportunity to appear on our feed to attract new potential members to your invite link. If there is no clear Call To Action to join the community, it may confuse the followers as to why they’re seeing that post 🫶

Edited content
Hello! I'm reaching out to ask how everyone edits their content. I currently use canva, I pay $20 a month and then edit using the tiktok function for trending sounds and effects. Do you have a preferred method? And is it expensive?
Social Media Session - 09/03/26
Here is the recording for this week's social media session 💛 Here are the key points from the call: - The Instagram Algorithm has changed how it measures views. Previously, a view could be counted very quickly when someone scrolled past a Reel. Now the platform is placing more weight on intentional viewing behaviour:  - Someone actually pauses or taps a reel - They watch longer than a quick scroll-by (this is where the 3 second hook becomes more important) - They engage (likes, shares, comments) - The highest-performing format right now is the “talking head” reels. A lot of creators are ditching heavy editing and just speaking directly to the camera with a strong hook. It feels authentic, builds authority quickly and keeps watch time high - Creators who turn one idea into a content series are growing fastest. Examples: “Day one of recreating my old nail art” There are also updates on how Trial Reels will now work: - Access will unlock for creators who have 1000+ followers - Love this or hate this, there is now a “daily limit”. Each account varies, but you want to aim for a minimum of 5 trial reels a day • Duplicating trial reels no longer works. Each trial reel must be unique from ALL other feed and trial reel content. So posting the same trial reel multiple times is now considered low quality/spam content. YOU WILL GET LESS VIEWS if you’re only changing the audio, slightly changing the text words, using a different caption or only using a different filter. To avoid suppressed views it’s best to make multiple edits and changes to the video itself. Just to be clear, at the moment this only applies to TRIAL REELS.
