Confession time 🙋‍♀️
I don’t actually think I need a full “digital detox.”
My days are pretty full and present…today: coffee, baking, bike ride, cleaning, time with my people, cozy TV at night.
But here’s something that came up when I sat down to do my word search this morning…
My choice of pages? Digital Detox and I thought about how…
I’m way more likely to grab my phone when other people are on theirs.
Like suddenly it feels… fine?
Normal?
Even expected?
But I was going to sit with a puzzle?!
So I caught myself thinking…
Wait, do I want to be on my phone…or do I just not want to be the only one not on it?
👀
So I’m trying something different:
Not a detox as my word search suggests.
Just choosing a few moments each day where I stay present and off my phone no matter what anyone else is doing.
Because honestly… that’s the harder skill.
👇 Be real with us:
When are you most likely to grab your phone at a time you don’t want to?
Let’s see what’s actually going on here.
When you’re alone
When you’re bored
When everyone else is on theirs
First thing in the morning
Late at night
