Hello and invitation
Sewing is often considered a "disappearing art" because its necessity has declined with the rise of cheap, mass-produced clothing, and it's no longer as commonly taught in schools. Home economics and sewing classes, which were once a staple in schools, have largely disappeared, reducing exposure for younger generations.
Spend time with me as I share skills i began loving when i was 7 years old-Almost 60 years of sewing experience. Doll and doll clothes, small patchwork and quilting projects are projects I will be making this winter. Planning on making a spirit doll and a stress doll.
I am a 65 year old Mother of two amazing adult children and Nana to four of the most beautiful grandchildren. I am a 20 year plus career hospice and palliative care Registered Nurse in home and inpatient level hospice care. With two decades of dealing with conversations about life and death - helping patients and families through possibly the worst season of their lives, her best traits are listening, empathy and understanding-joy in hearing a person’s story.
Pull up a chair close to me, let’s have a conversation and let's learn together.- the circle is a safe space for all.
Personal growth and spiritual development topics are welcome. Politics and religion topics are not welcome. This is a kind and gentle space where everyone’s work is accepted and appreciated. Rudeness will not be tolerated. Empathy is to be encouraged and developed. Thank you.
