Before you chase new goals, take 60 minutes this week to do a quick HR Reset so your business can grow without the chaos.
- People Check (20 min) - List everyone doing work for you (employees, contractors, interns). Make sure roles are clear, and how you’re paying them matches what they actually do.
2. Rules Check (20 min) - Write your Top 5 workplace non-negotiables in plain language: timekeeping/attendance, paydays, PTO/sick time, conduct/harassment, and how performance issues get handled.
3. Receipts Check (20 min) - Create one HR folder (Google Drive is fine) with offer letters/agreements, I-9/W-4, job descriptions, policies + acknowledgements, and any write-ups.
