Ask an AI that knows nothing about you to write a hook about posting consistently. Here's what you get:
"Want to grow on social media? Here are five tips to stay consistent."
There's no buyer in it, no proof and no voice. It could be anyone's post, so nobody stops for it.
The real reason has nothing to do with your prompt. It's what the AI knows about you, which is usually nothing.
I think about it like music. You're the songwriter. AI is the singer. Most people hand AI a blank page, ask it to write the song, and then get upset when it's the wrong song. The singer was never the problem. I call this The Songwriter Rule: you write the song, AI sings it.
To be fair, the broad hook does work sometimes, and I still test one against a specific one. But the broad one might get you views. The specific one is the one that gets you buyers.
Try this today: open the AI you use and ask it, "What do you know about my buyer, my results and how I talk? Only tell me what I've actually told you." If the answer is short, that's your gap. Screenshot it.
Monday I'll show you how I fill that gap in about 20 minutes without typing a word.
What did your AI say when you asked?
