The Seven Placements: why I count places, not posts
I stopped counting posts. Now I count placements.
One video can go to Instagram, Instagram Stories, Facebook, Facebook Stories, YouTube Shorts, LinkedIn and Threads. That's 7 placements from one piece of content. I call it The Seven Placements.
Here's what that did on my own YouTube channel. In the 2 weeks before I started, it got 25 views. Total. Then I posted 1 short a day, all cut from 1 filming session. In the next 13 days it got 3,568 views.
Same face. Same camera. The only thing that changed was distribution.
I'll be honest about the other number too. Those views brought 15 new subscribers. Views are attention, not customers. But attention from the right people is where every booked call starts.
This is how 1 filming session becomes 30 days of content. You don't need 30 new ideas. You need a few good ones, cut into pieces and sent to every place your buyer looks.
Try this today: pick your best video from the last month. Write down the 7 places it could live. Circle the ones it never went.
Tomorrow I'll show you the only part of this I still do myself.
How many of the 7 places has your best video been to?
Your calendar is the only metric that matters. — Esai
