Facing Imposter Syndrome on Day 4
I'm on day 4. Although I have a little automation experience with coding, I don't have any experience with Make. And I want to apply for Make job listings on Upwork. Now the dilemma is, that I don't know how to execute most of these job listings. Wouldn't it be unethical to promise a client something that I don't know how to do? I can ofcourse figure it out while doing the job and I'm confident about it. But what if the client asks me questions during the discovery call? There are a couple of jobs that are very basic and I've applied for those. But I'm unable to find 10 jobs that I know how to complete. I am not even able to understand the exact requirements of the listings from their description. Please guide.

Learning Make.com to an Initially Sufficient Level
I'm curious about people's experience initially learning Make.com. Does completing Make Academy (Basics + Intermediate) + the first 12 videos on Nick's Make Money With Make Youtube playlist provide a sufficient amount of skill to competently deliver a client project?

The time I put the cart before the horse just now... (a 1st customer 💪, and a close one)
Hey ya'll ... Despite Nick's advice to take it slow, I jumped right into this shit (inadvertently I should say)—and today I accepted my first payment for an automation project! 🚀HELL YEAH. I’m helping a client automate social media from LinkedIn to other platforms. BUT... because i jumped into it all too fast I didn't realize my Stripe account still had my old comic book name (The Bucket of Blood). What happened??? Her bank flagged it, blocked her card, and called her. 😅 Luckily, she was cool about it, but lesson learned: double-check your details and do this damn course as it's laid out... Big thanks to Nick and the team for getting me here—onward and upward! 💪

Increase your response rates on Upwork application
Hey Makers! Here's the quick video I've recorded to show you exactly how to do this. I wanted to quickly share a strategy that has been working really well for me in increasing my response rates on Upwork applications. As many of you know, I've been following Nick’s daily schedule (Day 1, Day 2, Day 3, etc.) and submitting about 10 applications a day. However, I realized that clients are more likely to respond when we showcase real-world scenarios that are directly related to their job description. Let me give you a quick example: - Scenario: Let’s say you’re applying for a job to automate a process, like splitting a story into sentences and generating AI prompts for each one. - Action: Take that specific requirement, go to Make.com, and use the AI to generate the scenario for you. Then, in your video, show how that scenario works. Tip: You don’t need to walk through the exact interface; just explain the process clearly: Step 1, Step 2, Step 3 and focus on how your solution saves time, improves efficiency, etc. Results: By using this approach, I’ve already received four responses, and I might close a couple of them soon! Some prospects are still in the interview phase, but this method has definitely improved my odds. I just wanted to share this with the community in case it helps you too! If you’ve been struggling to get responses, try incorporating this approach and let me know how it works for you. Lastly, a big shout-out to Nick for building this awesome community! Let’s keep sharing our updates and supporting each other.

UPDATE: PDF Generation Project Solved (Video Walkthrough in the works)
A posted two days ago asking for some suggestions on generating an attractive PDF from data in Make. Many of you provided some helpful input, which I'm thankful for. I ultimately ended up going with Google Slides for this, though during the process I realized there were some sneaky ways I could pre-"format" chunks of text that would PROBABLY work fine in PandaDoc but I'll save that battle for another day. I had previously recorded a video but i had since deleted it (forgot I'd shared it here haha) so I plan to record a fresh one soon since this is such a popular post. Thanks again all for being so helpful!
